We have recently completed the installation of our second bridge crane on Line 9 of the Barcelona metro, a project that required a high degree of technical precision and careful planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a bridge crane with a capacity of 5 tonnes and a span of 25.8 metres, specially designed to operate in a completely circular structure, allowing it to rotate 360 degrees. This design meets the specific needs of the underground space where it is located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A highly complex technical installation<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The biggest challenge of the project was the installation of the equipment, which was carried out in an 80-metre-deep well. This was compounded by additional complications, such as the sloping ceiling and a sharp reduction in diameter at the bottom of the shaft. These conditions required a highly complex installation manoeuvre, carried out through the synchronised coordination of two cranes, which operated in a continuous sequence of movements to adjust both the inclination and position of the bridge crane until it was precisely aligned with the rail beams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Structural solutions tailored to the project<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Another notable feature of this project was the need to adapt the support system due to the particular characteristics of the environment.
