At LB CRANES, we continue to respond to the challenges posed by each installation, adapting our designs to the most demanding conditions. On this occasion, we have successfully completed the assembly of a bridge crane at an electrical substation in Vizcaya.
A customised design for a small space
The project consisted of installing a 3.5-tonne bridge crane with a span of 9.12 metres, supported on concrete brackets and accompanied by 23.2 metres of rail beams on each side.
The main challenge was the limited space available between the brackets and the ceiling of the warehouse. This height restriction led us to design an overhead crane with lateral connections to the end walls, a solution that maximises hook height and ensures optimal performance in such a confined environment.
Precise logistics planning
In addition to the technical design, the installation involved detailed logistical planning. Transporting the equipment and all materials to the substation required careful coordination to ensure efficient, safe and smooth execution.
